Obernburg, NY - Wind Power
Jim and Rita Grier, owners of 'The Little Texas Ranch' appreciate the energy that is generated by their new wind turbine that they have nicknamed "Yellow Rose of Texas". It busily spins out energy for their home and horse farm. The windmill cost $60,000 for which they received two grants - a $15,200 renewable energy / energy efficient grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and a $27,000 NYSERDA grant.
